Innovative Business Leader in Global Marketing & Brand Strategy

Bob Pritchard has built a career at the intersection of business, marketing, and entertainment, driving innovative campaigns and strategic partnerships worldwide. From launching products with innovative strategies and campaigns to pioneering sports privatisation to consulting for global brands, his influence spans industries and continents.

Pritchard’s philosophy is simple “It is not the size of the budget that determines success…it is the size of the idea that really determines success“

Pritchard began his business career in Australia in the 1970s, after a successful career as a performer/promoter, founding Entertainment Headquarters, which matched brands and performers for marketing, advertising, and promotional campaigns. He later became Marketing Director for Kerry Packer’s PBL Marketing, where he managed major initiatives, including:

  • The 7-Nation World Series Cricket Competition
  • Australia’s inaugural Formula One Grand Prix
  • Skins Golf featuring Greg Norman, Jack Nicklaus, Seve Ballesteros, and Tom Watson
  • The tour of opera legend Kiri Te Kanawa

After creating a successful marketing program for the massive Darling Harbour redevelopment on Sydney Harbour he moved to Canada, working with Concert Productions International on the development of a 3D television camera. While there, he devised a strategy to privatise an Australian sports team—a groundbreaking move, as all Australian sports teams had previously been membership-based.

Pritchard won four silver Telly Awards which represent excellence in video and television across all screens for work with Citibank customer service.

Upon returning to Australia, he successfully led the privatisation of the Sydney Swans professional AFL team and the Sydney Weststars professional basketball team. As CEO of Powerplay International Inc., the parent company of both teams, he played a pivotal role in their transformation. As CEO, he was instrumental in listing the company on the Australian Stock Exchange, the first such listing in Australian sport.

Pritchard also consulted for Fox Studios Australia, advising on their 260-acre working studio complex in Sydney, which included entertainment, theatre, and theme park development.

Expansion into the United States and internationally

His success led to an invitation to the United States in 1985, where he developed marketing and corporate relationships with industry heavyweights:

  • The Coca-Cola Company
  • Citibank
  • Frito Lay
  • Microsoft

As well as leading sports entities:

  • The Los Angeles Raiders (NFL)
  • World Heavyweight Champion Evander Holyfield
  • Legends of Tennis
  • Indy Racing Teams

Throughout this period he worked closely with over 90 Fortune 500 companies developing marketing, advertising and promotional strategies. He was also appointed the President of the American Association of Sales, Marketing and Management.

He won four Silver Telly Awards, a symbol of excellence in video and television across all screens, now in its 46th year, for work with Citibank.

Pritchard’s Marketforce One Business Strategies Ltd developed the “100 Years…100 Movies” global celebration, marking a century of American filmmaking. This high-profile promotion included a global television special and hundreds of hours of U.S. television coverage.

He also led a groundbreaking tour of Asia featuring 38 Olympic Gold Medalists and partnered with cricket legend and future Pakistan President Imran Khan to present a U.S. tour of the Australian and Pakistan Cricket teams. This initiative contributed to the growth of cricket in the U.S., which now boasts 400 leagues, from youth to semi-pro levels.

Ongoing Influence and Industry Recognition

Pritchard continues to consult for global companies and has been featured twice on “60 Minutes” for his marketing successes.  In 1999, he also won the highly coveted “International Marketer of the Year“ award.
